New entertainment attained great popularity
Last year a new kind of entertainment was offered –cruises with 53 meters long “Mecklenburg” ship became popular at once. It shows that in a single city-port in Lithuania there was a lack of this kind of water tourism services. About 10 thousand people used this new entertainment during the period of three months.
The passengers will be taken to the cruises three times a week: on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The cruises will start at 10a.m. and the passengers will come back to Klaipeda at 9 p.m.
During all cruise it will be possible to admire the view of Curonian Spit because the ship sails very slowly and not far from the shore. The passengers will be able to see the coasts of the Curonian spit that are covered by tranquility, various kinds of birds that fly by, the old lighthouse, spectacular dead sand-hills which last even nine kilometers and fishermen who take from the water their daily catch.
The same as it was during the last season, the ship for a short time will stop by Juodkrante. If some people will want, they will be able to stop their cruise journey there and the rest of them will sail to Nida. Here the ship will stop for a longer time – the passengers will have two hours to walk in Nida, visit famous places and have a rest by the sea.
It is not a surprise that it became popular to celebrate personal feasts in the cruise ship, especially birthdays. The ship was also rented for private feasts by such companies as “Klaipedos duona”, “Cilija”, “Hansabankas”, “Plienas”, Klaipeda state port directorate etc. It is a suitable place not only for collective feasts, but also for solid events: seminars, conferences.
